Revelation 22:7, 14
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”…Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

The Apocalypse ends as it starts, with a blessing. Interestingly, the last two of the seven Beatitudes of Revelation both highlight the blessing of obedience.

That’s the bottom line, beloved. After learning about the Seven Churches, the Seven Seals, the Seven Trumpets, the Seven Bowls, Mystery Babylon and New Jerusalem, among other great truths–when all is said and done–we must heed the message.

First, we must be obedient because of the urgency of the message: “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand…And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work” (Rev 22:10,12).

Secondly, we must be obedient because of the severity of the message. None of us has the right to add to the words of this prophecy, nor to subtract anything from the book of Revelation (22:18-19). Any attempt to alter the Truth in any way incurs grave divine judgment. Indeed, with respect to God’s Word, our duty is not to edit but to execute, not to debate but to do, and not to complain but to comply.

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! (Rev 22:20). Maranatha!
