But He needed to go through Samaria.
Beloved, Jesus’ ministry was never random. He always followed the Father’s leading. Even His fasting was Spirit-led (Mat 4:1). His schedule was divinely orchestrated. Always.
‘So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise’ (John 5:19).
That’s how we know that the Samaritan woman went for an “appointment” which she didn’t know about, but which God scheduled. She did not even know that she needed such a meeting. Her usual routine was turned into an unusual experience. Her ordinary chore turned out to be an extraordinary meeting. May that be your portion too!
