Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Some Christians routinely deny their spiritual advantage through ignorance. They talk a lot about how they are people of the flesh. They justify their mistakes on account of their human frailty. They are always reiterating their timidity, weakness and sinfulness.

Yet the Word of God states categorically that we are not in the flesh. That means our reborn nature is spiritual in spite of any challenges we may face in our earthly journey. Rather, we should continually affirm our true status in Christ.

It’s not about whether or not we feel spiritual that day. Neither are we trying to be in the Spirit! The truth is, as long as we received Christ into our lives, the Holy Spirit dwells in us permanently (see also 1 John 2:27). So we belong to God and are in the Spirit. We are exactly who God says we are. We must
acknowledge our anointing. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!

Confession: I confess that I am saved by grace through faith and born again. Therefore the Spirit of God dwells in me. Therefore I am not in the flesh but I am in the Spirit. I am anointed. I always manifest the fruit and gifts of the Spirit for the glory of God. My words, work, worship, thoughts and ministry are anointed and inspired. Hallelujah!
