Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Previously we learnt that Jesus considered His ascension the believer’s advantage because then the Spirit would descend (John 16:7). Praise God for His faithfulness–the Comforter has come! Today we embark on an exciting journey of reviewing the multiple advantages of being in-dwelt, filled and led by the Holy Spirit.

One awesome thing the Spirit does in our lives is to manifest the agape-love of God in and through our lives. The loving character of God grows in our hearts and lives as we yield to the leading and control of the Helper.

In fact, the Word of God points out that the love of God is poured out into our hearts in abundance by the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5). This love manifests as joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). Let us not deny what God says we have in our inner man. Rather, let us acknowledge this reality today by faith.

Say after me: In the name of Jesus I confess that the Holy Spirit dwells in me, leads and empowers my life. The fruit of the Spirit is my portion. My heart is filled with agape-love in all its manifestations: joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control. Hallelujah!
