1 Corinthians 12:21b
And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”

It is absurd for the head to deny its need for the feet. True, it is the head’s job to think, but it is the feet’s function to walk. Who carries the body to the destination the head determines if the feet don’t matter?

This is exactly what hampers the church, our families, nations and corporations today. When the brains and the brawn don’t cooperate, there is disaster. How many great visions never see the light of day because there was nobody to walk the walk after the talk? How many marvellous feats are aborted simply because planners overlook implementors?

Visionaries need runners. Thinkers need doers. Leaders need followers. The abstract requires the concrete. Plans must become buildings. Dreams must become reality. Theory must become praxis. The head certainly needs the feet.

In short, the body will not reach its destination unless the head and the feet cooperate. We will never realise our full potential as long as we are in conflict. Let us agree to agree.
