Mark 4:38
But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

Sometimes life gives us the impression that God is aloof, unsympathetic or insensitive to our plight. We are not alone in that wrong perception. For the psalmist cries out, My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; and in the night season, and am not silent (Psalm 22:1-2).

However, we must not be discouraged. God cares more than you’ll ever know. Just call upon the name of the Lord and be saved (Rom 10:13). Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear–all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer! Don’t worry, don’t panic, don’t stress, call on Jesus!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phi 4:6-7).

Beloved, fear can blind us to God’s unfailing love toward us. When you find yourself suspecting that God has abandoned you, beware! When you find yourself judging God’s intentions and attitude, beware! Instead, let every test you face produce a great testimony. Let every problem before you make you better and not bitter. You’re a victor not a victim. You shall triumph in every trial!
