1 John 5:14-15
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Prayer is one of our most powerful spiritual weapons ever! We have already established that all our spiritual weapons are extremely mighty through God (2 Corinthians 10:4). Yet some Christians take prayer very lightly. Some just go through the motions, saying prayers just to soothe their consciences. Yet others hardly ever pray at all!

But prayer-warriors must wield this weapon with a full conviction of its power (see 1 John 5:14). We must be fully persuaded that our prayers are forceful. Don’t doubt your own prayers. Don’t underestimate the impact of your prayers. It’s not enough to believe that God answers prayer. Believe that God hears and answers your prayers. Don’t just “say” prayers–pray! Don’t play–pray.

True prayer is not a toy, but a weapon. Toys are for amusement; weapons are for warfare. Prayer is that weapon that can break every chain, order a divine jailbreak and cause an earthquake which does not destroy life or limb (see Acts 16:25-30). Prayer is that powerful and effective weapon that can lock and unlock the rains (Jam 5:16-18). Pray with expectation (Mark 11:24). Pray for results.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:18).

Let’s decree and declare together by faith today: The weapons of my warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of satanic strongholds. My prayers are mighty through God to the pulling down of satanic strongholds. My fervent prayers (as a righteous person) are powerful and effective. My prayers work. God answers all my prayers. My prayers change things. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen!
