Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
Sometimes it feels like you are overwhelmed by stuff. Sometimes it feels like you’re a victim, on the run and on the losing end. But let God’s Word correct that mindset today. The Captain of our salvation does not send us to battle unarmed. It’s time for you to reclaim your dominion mindset.
Another biblical witness says, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Rom 16:20a). Yet another witness says, “You will tread upon the lion and cobra; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot” (Psa 91:13).
Serpents, scorpions and lions as used above are symbols of various kinds of evil forces arrayed against followers and ministers of Christ. Praise the Lord for He has given us complete dominion over all satanic forces! We have authority over frontal and rearward attacks, over subtle and vicious attacks as well as over hidden and open enemies.
In Jesus’ mighty name we have dominion over every diabolical wile, scheme, trickery, venom, threat and intimidation. Don’t underestimate the awesome power you possess in the name of Jesus. Walk in your God-given dominion. You’re blessed and not cursed, above and not beneath, first and not last. Rule in the midst of your enemies!
