Psalm 118:24
This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Christians who know that they are more-than-conquerors start their day from a victorious perspective. They don’t wait to see what the day brings and then comment accordingly. They don’t just react, but are spiritually proactive. They never randomly drift into life. They don’t leave their destiny to chance.
That’s the beauty and power of prayer. That’s the genius of starting your day with prayer. Beloved, your morning prayer is your opportunity to shape the rest of your day. It is your opportunity to order your “menu” for the rest of the day. Don’t let the devil, circumstances and people just deliver on your plate whatever they fancy.
Kickstart your day by acknowledging God’s presence in it. Declare by faith that because it’s His day, you will rejoice and be glad in it. Expect good things to happen to you this very day. And the earlier you do it the better. Delaying ordering your day can cost you dearly. Too often children of God are trying to play catch up. Don’t let the enemy preempt your day!
Well before daybreak, call things that are not as though they are. As the Holy Spirit leads, speak life into your day. Prophesy divine favour upon your plans, programmes and projects. Speak blessing upon your way. Decree and declare goodness and mercy to follow you this day of your life. Set up your day by means of God’s living word. Kickstart your day by faith.
