Their delight is in Adonai’s Torah; on his Torah they meditate day and night. Psalm 1:2 CJB

The fifth key to biblical success is MEDITATION on Yahweh’s Torah. But why is meditation on the word of God so powerful?

Firstly, meditation is necessary and important because of the relationship between our minds and our results. Experts in human behaviour tell us that the thoughts that dominate our minds eventually produce equivalent results in our lives. In fact, Napoleon Hill asserts that THOUGHTS ARE THINGS!

Put differently, as a rule, your dominant thoughts will eventually manifest physically in your life. For instance, if you’re constantly thinking about failure, that is what will manifest in your life in the end. If your heart is filled with thoughts of fear, your life will eventually manifest dreadful things. Likewise, if your heart is filled with God’s wisdom and truth, that will eventually manifest in your life.

Secondly, meditation is powerful because it inspires our words and our words in turn affect our results. This is so because God’s word teaches that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Yet our tongues as a rule only articulate what fills our hearts (minds). Yet our hearts are filled as a rule by means of meditation. So there you are: full circle!

Beloveds, from today onwards let us be intentional about our thoughts. Refuse to think about things you don’t wish to see multiplying and manifesting in your life. Don’t talk about stuff you would rather not harvest. Think only righteous thoughts. Meditate only on things that are noble, pure, just, beautiful, godly, progressive, prosperous, rich, kind and so forth. Then you shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, flourishing like a palm tree and growing a cedar of Lebanon! That’s biblical success.
