Romans 12:2b
But be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Without a changed mindset, our lives will never change. Until we improve the way we think, our situations will never improve. Our output depends on our mindset. Our behaviour depends on our beliefs.

That is why we must pay close attention to our thought patterns. Don’t always think naturally. What we mean here is that conventional thinking about issues, situations or developments in life is not always right. We live in a corrupt and broken world. There’s a lot of lies and half truths floating around. So, if we don’t mind our mindset, we’ll be manipulated unawares.

What’s the solution? Always ask what God’s word says about any situation. Train yourself to rely on biblical wisdom rather than secular thinking. Read, study and meditate on the Scriptures with the renewal of your mind as your goal. Challenge your ‘natural’ thinking with the word of God. Submit every area of weakness or lack to the wisdom of God. Don’t protect your own ideas. Be ready to surrender your own thoughts on every subject to God’s word.

For instance, learn to think God’s thoughts about health, success, church, people, life-purpose, relationships, marriage, work, ministry, business, and so forth. Where can we find God’s thoughts? We find them in the Bible. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to mind-renewing wisdom in the Scriptures (Psalms 119:18). Choose to be transformed by the renewing of your mind in every area of your life.
