But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 ESV

Previously, we discussed the wisdom of standing on God’s promise to give us strength. We learnt that we don’t have to faint, tire or run out of steam. Don’t forget that promise!

Today we consider the promise of divine protection. Whether we are in leadership or not, in full time ministry or not, serving upfront or behind the scenes, and whether we know it or not, we are all susceptible to all sorts of attacks. We ALL need supernatural protection from satanic and other kinds of adversaries and threats.

Let us be assured that our God is faithful. He is in the business of establishing His own and protecting us from the evil one. He loves to deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from every deadly pestilence.

God will not let you be tempted beyond your ability to cope. When you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, His rod and staff will comfort you. He prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies. No evil shall befall you nor come near your dwelling. God has given His angels charge over you to keep you safe in all your ways.

Stand on God’s promises of protection, of which the above are just a sample. Believe, declare and enjoy them. Your victory depends on your willingness to stand on the promises of God that match your needs. Having done all, stand!
