“These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren” (Acts 1:14).

What an example! “One accord” is a translation of the adverb hŏmŏthumadŏn, which literally means to be in the same passion. Often believers succeed in meeting in one PLACE, but fail to be in one PASSION. The one is about area, the other is about attitude. The one is spatial and the other is spiritual. Dear friends, let’s earnestly believe and pray that whenever we gather bodily, our hearts too are truly together. Then we can also precipitate the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit. We usually think we are waiting for Him to show up, when actually HE is always waiting for us to truly gather–united in space & spirit!
