“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord” (Rom 12:11).
There’s such a thing as spiritual laziness! It’s possible to be diligent in other things but negligent in things that really matter. Children of God are often lazy to read the Word, pray, meditate, attend church or memorise Scripture. Often we have quite “reasonable” excuses! Often we find time for trivial & temporal pursuits but can’t “squeeze” in time for eternal priorities. However, we cannot optimise our spiritual growth if we are spiritually slothful. To grow your faith muscles takes spiritual fervency. To be imitators of faith champions (Heb. 6:12), takes spiritual focus. Will you make room for your spiritual work out today? Be blessed as you do!
