“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).
“Rightly dividing” comes from ŏrthŏtŏmĕō (Gk.), which means to make a straight cut, or to dissect, divide or expound correctly. Do you want God’s “pat on the back”? Do you want your faith to work, your prayers answered & to be unashamed? Then interpret His Word aright, embrace His will expressed in Scripture and “tremble at His Word” (Ezra 9:4; Isaiah 66:5). Change your ways to suit the Word; don’t change the Word to suit your ways!
