“And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Micah 4:3).

Yesterday was Armistice Day, marking the end of WWI on 11/11/1918. All around we can sense the deep appreciation for the cessation of hostilities and the ultimate sacrifice millions paid for our freedom back then. This Day resonates well with the Prince of Peace’s Day mentioned in our text. That’s why we look forward to His return: to permanently end all wars and “study war no more”! That gives me real hope for the future. And hope for the ridding of the seeds of war within our hearts–the hate, prejudice & anger we harbour. Let there be peace on earth and goodwill unto all men (Luke 2:14). Glory to the Prince of Peace!
