“Who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, OBTAINED PROMISES…” (Hebrews 11:33c).
The third remarkable achievement of faith in our text is obtaining the promises. One thing about God’s promises is that they are Yes and Amen (2 Cor. 1:20). That means they are unambiguous & realisable. That means everything God promises, He intends to perform. Another awesome fact is that nothing can stop God delivering on His promises. He is ready all the time. But we have to claim the promises by faith. But to claim them, we must know them. Make it your daily goal to discover the promises concerning every situation you’re in. Then cash in by faith!
