‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel'” (Mat 2:6).
That Christ hailed from Bethlehem made that town specially great. Ordinary places become extraordinary when Christ lives in them. Common ground becomes holy ground when the Lord is there (Ex 3:5). The presence of the Lord in our hearts makes us great in spite of our perceived insignificance. By inviting His presence in our abodes this Christmas, we can turn every house into a divine home.
