“remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father” (1 Thess. 1:3).

The second trait that triggered constant currents of apostolic intercession was this church’s “labour of love”. In the original, labour (kŏpŏs) refers to toiling or expenditure of physical, difficult & strenuous effort. Now then, when believers are motivated by the unconditional love of God (agape), their service to God rises to a whole new level! No wonder Jesus asked whether Peter loved Him before entrusting him with responsibility to take care of the flock (John 21:15-17). Let your love for Christ drive you to serve God without restraint this year.
