“But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart” (Luke 2:19).
Another way of training our senses as we mature in Christ is TO TAKE EVERY REVELATION SERIOUSLY. That includes the practice of writing sacred things down. Look, there’s no way the Holy Spirit can continue entrusting you with precious Kingdom nuggets if you don’t cherish them! There’s no way God will “cast pearls before swine” (Mat 7:6). No wonder Mary earned Heaven’s trust! She took the trouble to reflect and meditate on ALL that God was saying regardless of how “strange” it seemed. So must we! It makes sense that Mary was entrusted with the nurturing of the world’s Redeemer (Jesus) and two great apostles (James and Jude) that wrote 2 of our NT books. I wonder what great assignments God will entrust you with when you intentionally value every precious word from God!
