DFB (19/09 ): KEEP YOUR SPIRITUAL ANTIVIRUS UPDATE

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you” (Ps 119:11).

Since time immemorial, evil spirits have been hacking people’s hearts willy-nilly. Our minds are still often infiltrated and infected by satanic ideas. By definition, electronic viruses are programs that are usually hidden within other seemingly harmless programs, produce copies of themselves and usually destroy or corrupt data. That is the genius of viruses–their seeming innocence and disguise. That’s precisely the nature and behaviour of sin’s contagion within us. It’s more than just about breaking certain rules. Rather sin involves the spiritual infection, poisoning and corruption of our hearts, minds and society. Thank God for His Word that is capable of resisting and overcoming the destruction of our mores and lives by the viral phenomenon of evil. His Logos is the perfect antivirus, designed to prevent, detect and remove malicious software from our souls. Keep it installed and updated in your heart.
