“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” (Rom 8:15).
Among the many precious benefits of having the Holy Spirit in us is the empowerment to address God as our very own Daddy–Abba, Father. He does not just give you spiritual fruit and gifts. He makes you feel like God’s Son–like Jesus! Praise God, I feel like Jesus! Without a deeper revelation of our new status as adoptive sons of God, our prayers and our ministry fall short.
Have you caught yourself praying with too much authority and conviction sometimes? Hasn’t the enemy come in and whispered into your ear that you’re losing your marbles? Beloved, the devil can’t handle believers who know who they are and pray accordingly! He’ll do all he can to dupe us into a false sense of humility, where we can’t assert our rights and authority in Christ as sons of God. Don’t fall for his tricks!
