Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ “ (1 Kin 18:44).

Why did Elijah respond with such urgency to the appearance of the small cloud? He did because faith understands the Seed Principle. Viewed through the eyes of faith, that small cloud spelt great things. That small cloud precedes a downpour. Faith people understand that in every seed is a tree and a forest. Faith people are quick to recognise and celebrate potential.

Beloved, what seeds of imminent downpours of favour are you tempted to overlook in this season? Are you tempted to murmur about and despise the small beginnings in your situation, family, ministry or business? Don’t! Rather bless the Lord for every glimmer of hope, every trace of favour and very seed of blessing. That will help precipitate your miraculous downpour.
