“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (Jo 14:3).
As if the first two were not enough, two further bases of assurance are revealed here.
One is the assurance that our Redeemer is coming back. It doesn’t matter what sceptics and atheists think: Jesus is coming back! That will put a stop to all the lies, arguments and denials spawned by the enemy.
Another basis of assurance is the fact that believers shall live with Christ forever. No more pain of farewells, separation and parting ways from our heavenly Groom! “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Th 4:17). What a hope and what a joy!
