Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honour.
Humility is another little known but powerful seed, beloved. It can be defined as the quality of not thinking that you’re better than others. It’s about being down-to-earth or unpretentious. It’s about having a sober and healthy self-esteem. The likes of Joseph, Ruth and Daniel exemplified this awesome seed very well and lived to enjoy the resultant fruits–divine promotion, uncommon honour and uncontested recognition. Let’s do likewise at home and at work, in private and in public, in church and community. The harvest is worth your while! (See also Psalm 147:6; Rom 12:3; Phi 2:3,5; Jam 4:10; 1 Pet 5:5).
