Proverbs 21:21
He who follows righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness, and honour.
Mercy is the compassionate treatment of those in distress (such as the poor, hurting or guilty). The Scriptures reveal that there’s a sowing-and-reaping relationship involving this virtue. Will you sow seeds of leniency, kindness and compassion this week and beyond to someone needing it (but perhaps not deserving it)? Our Lord says you’ll reap the benefits: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” (Mat 5:7).
