Beloved, the message of God’s amazing grace does not eliminate the role of good works. It only places works in their rightful place as the product of our salvation by grace through faith. Thus, the Bible is emphatic about the necessity of quality works after rebirth. Our Lord doesn’t mince His words about God’s just reward system. So we must live with an intentional awareness of the wages accruing for all our labours. It’s not being religious; it’s being biblical! What do you expect God to reward you for? Have you produced heaven-worthy work of late, friend? Is your earthly service rewardable in heaven?
