Revelation 3:2
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
How do we reverse the trend toward apparent life rather than abundant life? First, by being watchful. That means being alert to God’s prophetic calendar, the wiles of the enemy and the voice of the Spirit, among other things. Good Christians must not just float around insensitively. Second, by strengthening what’s about to die in our lives. That’s why regular revivals are useful. That’s why periodic spiritual health checks are helpful. What spiritual habits in your life are slowly dying a natural death? It could be prayer, Bible study, meditation or witnessing or something else. Revive it before it’s too late. Revival is easier than resurrection!
