Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Our Lord’ reveals two attitudes those who would receive their heavenly crowns must have. Firstly, they must behold He comes quickly. They must have an attitude of urgency regarding the Parousia. Their relationships, business affairs, conversations and Kingdom service are undergirded by such an awareness. Sadly, many believers live like Jesus’ Return has been postponed indefinitely! Rather live like He’s coming back today. Secondly, they must hold on tight to what they have. They must have an attitude of godly tenacity or reverent adherence. Beloved, we must not hold lightly to the truth we have already grasped. We must not entertain heretical views “for argument’s sake”! Good Christians are principled. It’s ok to be labelled too rigid and dogmatic, rather than losing your heavenly crown. Do not be deceived.
