Revelation 3:12a
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:
There are no words sufficiently strong to describe the awesome blessings awaiting victorious Christians. Firstly, our deepest desire for immortality, significance, permanence, stability and security shall be fulfilled, as depicted by the metaphor of pillars in God’s heavenly temple. Let those who are overlooked and unrecognised today rejoice that in the eschaton they shall be prominently and permanently positioned and recognised in the presence of God. Whereas today we are living stones (bricks) hidden as it were in the structure of Christ’s spiritual house (1 Pet 2:5), then we shall be pillars in the Father’s temple! Whereas now we work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phi 2:12), then we shall no longer be able or liable to be misled. Hallelujah!
