But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel.
It is not our place to redefine Christianity. Our duty is to follow the way already established by Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is not our duty to reinvent the wheel, as it were, spiritually speaking!
Many believers waste valuable time trying to defend their opinions about how things of the Spirit should work. Instead of discovering, they expend energy trying to determine what ought to be. Rather than enjoying the Father’s promise, they endure spiritual dryness. Instead of believing, they invest in the business of doubting. God forbid!
Peter’s response to the astonished spectators is simple–only the Word of God explains this precious experience. “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel”. How precious it is for us today to get to that place where we can say about our realtime experience, “This is that…”!
Let your personal experience in the Spirit also match the Word of God. May the promises of God in the Bible be fulfilled in your life today. May the will of God come to pass in your ministry. May His vision for your life actualise in your journey of faith!
